As part of the London Olympic celebrations, we took part in a special Icarus Club night hosted at the Lewisham Big Screen Spiegeltent on Blackheath common. Our good friend Chris Underwood took some pictures of the event, and here they are:

We met Simon through a mutual friend, the wonderfully glamorous and gorgeous 50ft Woman. He writes an awesome blog covering tonnes of topics including music, books, sports and politics. Simon was one of the first people to buy Wreck and Reel, outside of our immediate circle of friends and he’s reviewed it here:

In December 2011 we lost a dear friend, Andy Ropek. Andy, a fantastic musician in his own right, and promoter for The Icarus Club did so much to support unsigned artists and we will deeply miss him. We were honoured to be asked to play at Blackheath Halls in February, a concert in his memory. You can now purchase a DVD of the night with all proceeds going to charity. We were joined by lots of amazing artists including Bruise, Mishaped Pearls and Benny Gallagher (of Gallagher and Lyle fame). For further information click on the facebook link here

The video was shot by Henry Williams.

Would you like us to come and play you a tune? We require one sofa….big enough for two, not

as payment, merely to park our behinds on.

We will bring you our very own biscuits and we are both fully house trained.

Are you a fantastic artist, designer or photographer?

How would you like your artwork to be used as the cover for a Pepper and Shepherd song?

We’ve recently uploaded the track ‘All of My Love’ to our bandcamp page, and are now looking for a piece of artwork, or photo to accompany it.

If you would like your artwork to be seen by all our fans, win a free copy of our debut album ‘Wreck and Reel’, have a link set up to your work and some free publicity then have a listen to All of My Love and get creative!

Any submissions must be the size of 350 x 350 pixels minimum (bigger is better) and be in .jpg, .gif or .png  format 4MB max

We will be accepting submissions from now until the competition closes on 30 April 2012. Our judging panel will then make a decision and let you know the winner in May.

Please send all submissions with the subject title ‘Your Art, Our Song’ to us@pepperandshepherd.co.uk

Good luck!

We supported Tom Copson and Guido Goh at CB2 in Cambridge (23 March). Tom has an emotionally elastic voice, plays great guitar and had some beautiful violin weaving in and out of his songs, he played a terrific set. Likewise Guido, all the way from Hamburg has a great voice and some beautifully moving songs on piano and sarod!.

Pete Robbins, promoter of Night of the Artisans creates a lovely intimate and warm atmosphere down in the wine cellars at CB2, I highly recommend his night, and radio show to everyone. He took this video of us performing 10 long years:
