From Broadstairs to Brussels, James Pepper and Anthony J Shepherd have earned their place as one of folk’s most electrifying live acts in the UK. Since forming in 2009 they have racked up hundreds of performances touring across the UK, honing a unique blend of ferocious fret-work on guitar and mandolin with powerful soaring vocal harmonies. Recent highlights include performances at the Broadstairs Folk Week 50th Anniversary Concert, headlining at Brussels Folk Club, and playing for over 2000 people at the Tooting Folk and Blues Festival 2016. April 2017 sees the release of their first official studio album ‘As the willow stands near the water’, a collection of uplifting, original and dynamic folk songs recorded at L Sound London studios. The album launch is at The Breathing Room, Tooting, on April 16th, with an accompanying tour in late April.
